My Bible and reference guide for life.
My dear friend, Corrine, gave me a verse yesterday from Isaiah that helped me remember that we are loved and thought of by God no matter what we have done. She told me that she saw a verse and felt it was a good verse to send to my daughter, Monica, who is incarcerated in the state of Arkansas after being involved in drugs for several years. She has managed to get herself into some awful trouble and is now looking to me for help to get out of it. I am praying everyday for her, and asking the good Lord to help me understand the best type of help for her. This verse in Isaiah 1:18-20 says,
Isa 1:20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it."

I haven't been able to finish this blog since I started it this morning because by the grace of Almighty God, miracles have been happening all around me today. Monica called from the jail and told me that she went to circuit court today and that God saved her from being sentenced to 60 months for several drug charges. She said that out of nowhere a woman, the judges clerk came up to her as she was signing some paperwork at the bench and took the papers from her and said quietly that she wasn't going to be needing to finish that paperwork since the judge decided to process her out and dismiss all charges... Hallelujah, thank you Jesus! She still needs to report to a rehab facility as per another county court's ruling. Her father and I have prepared for her to go to a Christian Rehabilitation Home. She is to spend anywhere from 3-18 months there on lock down and receive the treatment she needs to get better and come home here to Arizona.
When Monica called me she was elated about being free, but she is determined to follow all of the rules to get the treatment she needs for her additions and the counseling she has to complete for her behaviors. Praise God for these miracles of Mercy!! She told me, "Mom, I am going to do it right this time, and I am going to get the help I need to be able to come home and make everything right." She told me that she has been reading the Proverbs everyday and that she has been asking God for one more chance, everyday on her knees, and now that God has shown her His power within a court room, she is on fire and wants to do it all right by God. She is in tears as I read the above scripture, Isaiah 1:18-20, to her and she said, "I know that it was God, and no one else that gave me this chance, and I will do whatever He wants me to do to live right by Him!" I am full of tears of joy today and I praise God for His tender mercies and miraculous favor. Our God is an Awesome God, He reigns from heaven above, with wisdom, power and love; our God is an awesome God!!!!
Monica is on the road to coming home as the prodigal daughter who deserves to be loved and supported for her act of Faith and Repentance. Thank you Jesus for once again trusting me to care and love your child as my own. By the grace of God, I am being restored of all that I have lost. My hope is meeting in line with my faith. I am one very happy girly girl today. :)
Until we meet again, please be in prayer for Monica and me.
