Just a quick note - turned long:

My Bible and reference guide for life.

My dear friend, Corrine, gave me a verse yesterday from Isaiah that helped me remember that we are loved and thought of by God no matter what we have done.  She told me that she saw a verse and felt it was a good verse to send to my daughter, Monica, who is incarcerated in the state of Arkansas after being involved in drugs for several years.  She has managed to get herself into some awful trouble and is now looking to me for help to get out of it.  I am praying everyday for her, and asking the good Lord to help me understand the best type of help for her.  This verse in Isaiah 1:18-20 says,

"Isa 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Isa 1:19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

Isa 1:20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it."

Cotton Candy Days are always so sweet!

I haven't been able to finish this blog since I started it this morning because by the grace of Almighty God, miracles have been happening all around me today.  Monica called from the jail and told me that she went to circuit court today and that God saved her from being sentenced to 60 months for several drug charges.  She said that out of nowhere a woman, the judges clerk came up to her as she was signing some paperwork at the bench and took the papers from her and said quietly that she wasn't going to be needing to finish that paperwork since the judge decided to process her out and dismiss all charges... Hallelujah, thank you Jesus!  She still needs to report to a rehab facility as per another county court's ruling.  Her father and I have prepared for her to go to a Christian Rehabilitation Home.  She is to spend anywhere from 3-18 months there on lock down and receive the treatment she needs to get better and come home here to Arizona.

When Monica called me she was elated about being free, but she is determined to follow all of the rules to get the treatment she needs for her additions and the counseling she has to complete for her behaviors.  Praise God for these miracles of Mercy!!  She told me, "Mom, I am going to do it right this time, and I am going to get the help I need to be able to come home and make everything right."  She told me that she has been reading the Proverbs everyday and that she has been asking God for one more chance, everyday on her knees, and now that God has shown her His power within a court room, she is on fire and wants to do it all right by God.  She is in tears as I read the above scripture, Isaiah 1:18-20, to her and she said, "I know that it was God, and no one else that gave me this chance, and I will do whatever He wants me to do to live right by Him!"  I am full of tears of joy today and I praise God for His tender mercies and miraculous favor.  Our God is an Awesome God, He reigns from heaven above, with wisdom, power and love; our God is an awesome God!!!!

Monica is on the road to coming home as the prodigal daughter who deserves to be loved and supported for her act of Faith and Repentance.  Thank you Jesus for once again trusting me to care and love your child as my own.  By the grace of God, I am being restored of all that I have lost. My hope is meeting in line with my faith.  I am one very happy girly girl today. :)

Until we meet again, please be in prayer for Monica and me.

Attitude Changes

Two hearts beat as one; the heart of a woman beating as one with the heart of a girly girl

Well, it's been a busy weekend and now here it is, Sunday.  I have always had this hidden problem with Sundays because Monday is the next day.  Mondays are where I need a definite attitude adjustment.  :)  Don't get me wrong I love the start of the week, and love the fresh feeling of starting each week anew; however, I have lived with this fear of ending the weekend because it always seems that there is still so much to complete before starting something else.

I have a determination in me to always complete everything I start, and when the end to anything comes around I get nervous and start feeling like I am pressed for time to complete everything.  Now, I am working through changing my attitude about Sundays and about time frames in completing all of my tasks.  Starting with this new attitude adjustment I need to find the faith to conquer my fear by changing the way I deal with my thoughts of completion.

Attitude changing is changing the way I process my thoughts.  Using this day to find a new way to "think," will encourage my actions to meditating on the finality of the weekend.  So, instead of thinking I am ending something I will start using Sunday as my day to reflect on all of the positive events and circumstances of the past week, and use some of my stress relief techniques to flow through this change.  Today is the day to honor God and to allow my mind and body to rest.

Restful thoughts for me are in my most inner being.  Connecting with my inner girl will help me to reflect on the humorous events that happened this past week.  The funniest thing that happened to me this past week was a fight I had with my husband.  We acted like fools on the phone while he was out driving a truck, he's a truck driver, and has nothing else to do all week but drive.  We don't usually talk much through the week, except a couple calls a day to keep in touch; however this past week, we spent more time on the  phone arguing about the stupidest things, and then by the end of the week forgot what we were arguing about.  It's funny how we fight against ourselves and sometimes just need another person to back up the drama.

Well, I am setting out this week to complete my Statement of Purpose and finish the application for USC Online.  I am choosing to get an early start on Sundays by looking forward to my next week, rather than spending too much time wondering about last week and what should have been completed.

My attitude note to myself for the day is, Don't sweat the small stuff and don't let fear over come my faith to believe that all will work through as it's suppose to.  Complete all that can be completed and add the unfinished to my list of things to do next week.  Think through, positively, all thoughts before acting or reacting to gain a better understanding of completing all that is necessary.

First things first:  Work on keeping a positive attitude of my surroundings, my projects, my home, family, friends, and me.  I need to place my campaign order for Avon by 9:00pm and finish my Statement of Purpose so that I can focus on being a girl and making time for shopping, spending time with my daughters and my friends, as well as spending some quality time on my character, my health, my hygiene and the knowledge I need to keep myself positively thinking through each attitude and action I process through my life.  I will focus my thoughts on being the girly girl, I know I am and keep my self pretty on the inside so that I can feel pretty on the outside.

Until tomorrow, sharpen that positive attitude to live free and pretty as a girly girl, and I will be back to release my lessons on my girly girl blog.  :)

Girly Girl Tips

I love being a girly girl, because I like feeling pretty.  Being pretty isn't just a physical thing, its a process of many qualities that takes hard work to accomplish everyday.  I believe that to be pretty we must consider 5 areas of care for ourselves to begin the true journey towards becoming a beautiful woman, and work these areas everyday, all day, to complete our mission of becoming that beautiful woman all the way through.
The five areas I have found that I have needed to be most concerned with are my Attitude, Character, Health, Hygiene, and Knowledge.  When I discovered that these areas covered everything I needed to feel pretty about me, my life began to change.  Everything and everyone around me became beautiful, and when I saw so much beauty around me, I knew that it was a reflection of what I was giving out and taking in.

I will discuss all of these areas and what I learned about feeling pretty and happy with me within the next few weeks.  The first thing I did was take an inventory of my attitudes.  I found that I was not the same with everyone in my life.  Some people I treated good and some not so good.  I was judging others, and worse I was negatively judging me.  I finally talked myself into learning to become real and truthful with myself and to look for the beauty that God created in everyone, and this included me.  No more was I going to judge myself or any other creation of God.

I learned to laugh, love, and live for a better life and a chance at feeling less stress and more comfort of being me and feeling worthy in my own skin.  I changed my attitude about me and all others, no matter who they are.  Thinking like a girly girl and embracing that thought changed my attitude from harsh to soft.  I became happy with me.

Here is a collage of how I feel about me and my self worth:

I hope this little tip about changing an attitude will help all women to understand the beauty of being a girly girl.
