It's been a busy Summer of travel and good times!

I am back!  Wow, it's been a busy Summer, and I have so much to tell.  Let's see where do I start?  How about here and now - I am feeling great!  My energy levels have been up and running for the past five months.  OMG, has it really been five months?  How time flies when we're having fun :)  Let's see I left off in May when I had begun my first term at USC.  Super-cala-fragalistic-expialidoshus!!! ( the roots of the word: super- "above", cali- "beauty", fragilistic- "delicate", expiali- "to atone", and docious- "educable"
then the whole thing would mean roughly "Atoning for educability through delicate beauty.")  Ha! it was dynamic!!  I have never had the pleasure of learning so much in such a clear and concise instruction.  It's a great school and I am so happy to be learning something new.  I have registered for my Fall classes and those super hard.

Well if starting school in the Fall after being gone over the road on my husband's truck for six weeks wasn't bad, then who knows what is???  I attend USC through an Online forum, so my studies are pretty convenient until a broken leg and a pulled wisdom tooth became a distraction.  Not to forget to mention, I booked a cruise for my mom and dad, my daughters, Victoria and Jennifer, Eric and me; planned and put together a family reunion for my dad's family.  Like I said, it's been a busy five months.

Busy as a Worker Bee

Well here it is almost another month gone by - where in the heck does time go?  Since I have been in school I have very little free time.  So now that I am here I guess I'll blog how life's been going for me.  School has been great!!  I have been learning about learning behaviors and it's absolutely fascinating.

As secretary for the Copa Cheer Booster's of Parents, I have been busy handling the applications and paperwork for fundraising events.  Keeping busy has never been a problem for me, it seems all my life I have managed my time fairly well, but lately, it's been awful.  I feel like everything I do now takes hours upon hours to complete.  I am one who finishes what I start and I kill myself doing it.  Stress has been a huge problem for me lately and I need to find a way to grab my attention to taking better care of eliminating stress from my life.

It's been a busy month

Well I survived my birthday on April 21 - Yay!!  I don't feel any older, but I do feel wiser.  I went to the Arizona Desert Botanical Gardens with my husband Eric and we had a wonderful time getting out in nature and enjoying the beautiful weather while we walked through the Desert Spring Blooms.

Happy Birthday Pamy - Eric and Pam  April 21, 2011

Look, everyone - I'm Walking!!!  No more wheelchair for me on long hikes!

This is a milestone for me.  I am so happy to be getting my strength back enough to walk and enjoy a full day.

Moving on from my birthday, April came and went so fast my head is spinning. Eric left on April 25th to venture out and drive over the road.  He has been a truck driver for over 16 years and with my starting school and my daughters involved in their girl lives, it was the best time for Eric to go out on the road for a while.  He loves that sort of thing, and me?  I like my space, so this works out perfectly.

Easter 2011
So with Eric off we settled for a simple Easter.  He gave me my favorite yellow tulips and I gave him a big Chocolate Bunny and his favorite Peeps to snack on when he left.  Victoria, Jennifer and I colored a few dozen eggs and spent some quality time together.  I grabbed two baskets and filled them with goodies, and a summer outfit for each of the girls and called it done, after they hit me up for money they scurried off with their friends and I met my parents for dinner.  It was an untraditional day, but it was nice.

Elizabeth and Pam friends 38 years

The weather has been so beautiful and all the blooms are so pretty.  May came so fast and next thing I knew I was regitering for my classes with USC Online.  My friend Elizabeth called me and told me she would be in Phoenix for Mother's Day weekend and so we planned for her to stay here with us.  We had a wonderful time visiting and catching up.  It was wonderful seeing my friend of 38 years and spending time together talking and relaxing.

Happy Mother's Day!!!  Elizabeth flew back home early Sunday morning to be home with her daughters on Mother's Day.  My daughters and I went to Brunch and then stayed home for a quiet day watching chick flicks all day.  It was a nice rest for all three of us and a great day of quality time together.  It was a perfect Mommy day for me!

My first webcam photo online in class 5-17-2011

Now that I am caught up to this week let me tell about my first week in school.  First I was contacted last week by a placement advisor and was told to report to one of the Middle Schools here in town.  My first assignment is to interview the Principal, a teacher and a parent of one of the students, and so I met with the Principal and made sure that all releases were signed to video interview all parties.  I met with the school Librarian and discussed helping her on a volunteer basis to do my observation of the school environment and write my assessment notes on the middle school students.  I have set up my webcam for my classes and loggged into my first class last Tuesday - I love it already!!

Happy School Girl :)

So here I am again in school and I am loving my program, my classes and the challenge of working hard to obtain another degree.  Fight On Pamy!!

I have been so exhausted this week as my schedule has once again changed in my life; however I am concentrating more and more on the routines and schedules that will keep me healthy and happy.  I have worked out everyday for two-and-a-half hours and I have exercised my mind during my studies.  So now the papers begin and my writing will get more exercise as well.  So here's to another year of sharpening my mind and toning my body.  I have lost 87 pounds since June 3, 2010 and now I am setting out to lose another 63 pounds by or before my graduation date, next year, May 20, 2012.  My goal weight is to be 105 pounds by next year so I have changed my eating habits to healthier choices and I have added water to my beverage list of coffee, unsweetened, sweet tea, cranberry juice, orange juice, pomagranite juice, and milk.  No more diet coke for me!!

Purple is a favorite of mine and I do believe God made purple flowers to remind us to smile.

I am back and happy to be sharing my life and the beauty of looking back to all the blessings God has granted me throughout my years!  :)

Moving forward towards a better environment, a better life, and a better me!!

Just the thing we all need more of!
